Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain server-side applications using Node.js
- Design, develop, and maintain PostgreSQL databases
- Ensure high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end
- Integrate user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server-side logic
- Write reusable, testable, and efficient code
- Implement data storage solutions including databases, key-value stores, and blob stores
- Optimize database performance including query tuning and indexing
- Create and implement effective security and data protection settings
- Integrate multiple data sources and databases into one system
- Manage and optimize application performance, scalability, and system resources
- Debug code and implement necessary fixes
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Node.js Developer or similar back-end role
- Experience in event-driven architecture and Kafka
- Strong knowledge of Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA)
- Extensive knowledge of JavaScript, web stacks, libraries, and frameworks
- Strong knowledge of SQL and PostgreSQL database management
- Experience with database design, development, and performance tuning
- Knowledge of front-end technologies: HTML5 and CSS3
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git
- Experience with CI/CD (continuous integration and deployment)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and organizational abilities
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
