Data Engineer – Lakehouse Platform

Atlassian's data platform powers analytics and ML for products like Jira, Confluence, Trello, and Bitbucket, processing billions of events generated by teams across every continent. This role is fully remote for candidates based anywhere in India, with the Bengaluru office as the registered base. As a Data Engineer on the Lakehouse Platform team, you will design and maintain the data pipelines and infrastructure that enable Atlassian's product, analytics, and ML teams to move fast with high-quality data. Your responsibilities include building and operating Apache Spark and Flink jobs on AWS EMR and Databricks, designing Delta Lake table architectures for structured and semi-structured event data, orchestrating workflows with Apache Airflow, implementing data quality checks using Great Expectations, building self-serve data catalogue tooling using Apache Atlas and DataHub, and collaborating with data scientists on feature engineering pipelines.
