Data Scientist – Search & Recommendations

Info Edge is the parent company behind Naukri.com, 99acres, Jeevansathi, and Shiksha — four of India's most visited internet platforms. As a Data Scientist in the Search and Recommendations team, you will build and improve the algorithms that match millions of job seekers with relevant job listings every day. Your work will involve training ranking models using LambdaMART and LightGBM, building semantic search capabilities using BERT-based text embeddings, designing A/B experiments to measure ranking quality improvements, and collaborating with product managers to translate business goals into ML problem formulations. You'll work with petabyte-scale data pipelines on AWS, fine-tune real-time recommendation systems powered by Elasticsearch and Vespa, and present your findings and model improvements to C-level stakeholders. This is a high-visibility, high-impact role at one of India's longest-standing internet companies.
