Software Engineer – Video Streaming Platform

Wynk Music is one of India's top music streaming services with over 10 crore active users, built and operated by Airtel's digital engineering team in Gurugram. As a Software Engineer on the Video and Streaming Platform team, you will build the backend infrastructure that delivers music and video content to users with seamless quality across diverse network conditions in India. Your responsibilities include developing content ingestion and transcoding pipelines for audio and video assets, building adaptive bitrate streaming (ABR/HLS/DASH) delivery systems on AWS CloudFront and MediaConvert, implementing DRM (Widevine, FairPlay) protected content delivery, designing offline download APIs for mobile clients, optimising CDN cache hit rates to reduce streaming costs, and building analytics pipelines for playback quality monitoring. This is a technically rich role combining media engineering, cloud infrastructure, and backend development.
